Astronaut Training Party

Did you see the cute Astronaut training party at Life Frosting?

Each child received a box with their party invitations, uniform and preflight treats.

They had fun activities like the shuttle orientation

collecting moon rocks, and much more.

The cake was a hanging moon cake. How cool is that?

They even got a bag full of goodies to go home with.

It's Just Another Stylin' Sunday

Brody was all laughs during his pictures today.
He has this big wide open mouth laugh that cracks me up.

When he thinks he is being funny, he will start in on his fake laugh. It's pretty funny.

I really want these wedges and for their price, I should buy both pairs.
$23.50 for the Classified Guido wedges.

$22.00 for the Classified Haylie wedges.

If you think those prices are good, you should check out their flats.

Commercials

What is the deal with commercials that have to beat down their competitors lately?
Can't they come up with a clever little ad instead of saying "bigger than McDonalds", " better than a PC", "Faster than Verizon" ? It seems like every time there is a commercial break I see at least one of these kind of commercials. I think it's lame!

To make up for the lame commercials out there, I am going to start posting some fun, clever and memorable commercials.

Don't you just love Jordan's outfit? I seem to think some of the best commercials have come from the sports world.

What's your favorite commercials? If you happen to post it on your blog send me the link.

Stay tuned for more commercials.

Valentines Breakfast in Bed

I decided to make Travis a little Basket full of bagels and juice for a little
breakfast in bed on Valentines day.
You don't have to spend a lot of money to make something special. I think it's all in the details.
I could have just put juice and bagels on the kitchen table but by adding the details
it made for a special breakfast.

I think this could also be turned into a fun picnic date.
Swap the bagels for a few sandwiches, grab a big blanket and head to the park.

I found these cute labels at Kind Over Matter.

What did you do for Valentines day?

Movies

Before I get to movies I have seen recently I have to say, are they really coming out with another Karate Kid? Seriously?

What movies have you watched recently?

First Hair Cut

Brody got his first hair cut!

He was having a good time until the cape was put on him. He didn't like having his arms trapped under the cape.

He was a pretty good boy though. Thanks Julie for the hair cut!

We made sure to keep some of his hair for his scrap book.
Did you keep your baby's hair from the first hair cut?

Probably not as much as I want the Ab Circle Pro, but I still want it.

These infomercials always suck me in, at least I don't buy them though. Right?

I asked this before, but I still want to know, What infomercials suck you in?

Lucky Me

I did it again, I won! I won a massage at Sanctuary Day Spa from Sweet Life in the Valley

I swear, I am so lucky these days. I think I need to make a trip to Vegas.

Blogger's Recipe Roundup-Campfire Cookies

Fahrenheit 350° is sharing her recipe for Campfire Cookies with us today.
Make sure to stop by the next Art Market to try out some yummy treats from Fahrenheit 350° or you can order some here.

Campfire Cookies

1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
Cream together butter and sugar until incorporated

Add:
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
Beat thoroughly

Add:
2 cups flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chocolate chips, or one giant Hershey's bar, chopped
1 cup mini marshmallows
Stir to incorporate
The fun part about these cookies is that you actually bake the cookie on top of a whole graham cracker.

Bake at F350°, for no more than 11 minutes (after 11 minutes, the graham cracker will burn).
Some of the marshmallow may toast off the cracker, but simply remove the cracker from your cookie sheet and quickly transfer to a wire rack.
Yields 4 dozen

Enjoy!

Blogger's Recipe Roundup- Garlic Eggplant Spaghetti Wraps

Dionne from the blog City of Dionne invented this recipe when her husband came home for lunch one day. She was all out of bread and couldn't make a sandwich, so she whipped up these easy Garlic Eggplant Spaghetti Wraps from the ingredients she had on hand.

Dionne is quite the artist, I love seeing her artwork throughout her blog. You can also purchase some of her creations in her Etsy store.

Garlic Eggplant Spaghetti Wraps

1. Fry two minced garlic cloves in olive oil over medium heat.
2. Cut 1 eggplant in lengthwise strips about a quarter inch thick, then add to pan and drizzle with more olive oil, and season with salt.
3. Add 1 chopped onion to pan.
4. Once eggplant is soft, remove pan from heat.
5. Break spaghetti strands in half, then boil and cook 'til al dente.
6. Drain spaghetti and mix with olive oil, fresh basil, and Italian seasoning, salt and pepper, and add the cooked onion into the spaghetti mix.
7. Then just take the spaghetti and put it in the eggplant strips and wrap them, securing with toothpicks.

*Make sure to put enough olive oil in the spaghetti so it's not dry
